Shane Woods
Shane is an editor with over 20 years of industry experience in high end tv drama and feature films. He has worked on multiple projects both in the UK and Ireland. He lives in London.
the early years…
Having studied Film and Television Production in the National Film School IADT in Dublin, Shane began his career in Dublin’s Windmill Lane Pictures as an assistant editor and online editor. After a couple of years working in Brown Bag Films animation studios, Shane made the move to London in 2012 where he worked at Prime Focus Ltd as a Smoke Operator and online editor.

Shane has worked as an assistant editor for a number of years working on an eclectic range of television projects including Sherlock, Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy, This is England 90, Years and Years and The Crown.
He has worked as an assembly editor on shows including Peaky Blinders, Grantchester, Suspicion and, most recently, Constellation for Apple TV+ and has worked on promotional material and trailers for film and television; Ear for Eye, Fate: The Winx Saga, Riviera and The Tunnel.

In addition to his work as an assembly editor, Shane has worked on a number of short films including Neon and Procession for Screen Ireland. In 2018 Shane directed a short film, Reflections, which went on to win him an EDA Emerging Director Award. He is a member of BFE and ISE and is on the Irish Screen Editors Committee.
